Brian Sumers, an expert on the global airline industry, is editor of The Airline Observer, a newsletter covering the business of airlines, and a co-host of The Air Show, a podcast covering the business of the sky.

Brian is a magna cum laude graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School. He also has an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management.

Brian grew up in Chicago. He remains a Chicago Cubs fan and still feels a tinge of nostalgia when he crosses between Concourses B and C at Chicago O’Hare.
