How would you feel about riding your luggage through a crowded airport?

A new startup called Modobag believes it has solved all of your problems. It has created a combination bag and a scooter capable of going 8 mph. Its range is 6 miles, or enough to take you through any airport. According to the company, it has 2,000 cubic inches of stowage space, making it about 85 percent as large as your standard carry-on.

It is powered by lithium batteries, which many of you know can be a safety concern on airplanes. They can overheat or catch fire.

But let's not be distracted from this absurd invention. Don't you want to know how company founder Kevin O'Donnell got the idea? From the release:

O'Donnell got the idea for the Modobag while he was racing through an airport with a dance group he supports, Chi-Town's Finest Breakers, when one of the kids jumped on his luggage and asked for a ride. A global traveler who has launched several companies and startups, O'Donnell thought intuitively, "Why can't we ride our luggage and get where we're going faster and with less stress?"

Folks on social media do not think this is a great idea. What do you think?
