Big news for the blog.

Dear readers:

I'm sad to report I am retiring this blog, at least in its current form. I have taken a job writing about the world's airlines for Skift, a website covering the global travel industry.

Skift will publish my stories on its free, public-facing website.  Since you'll be able to read everything I write, there's no reason to continue updating this blog. I'll keep the content up for the foreseeable future, however.

When I started in August 2014, I never expected people to find it. I have been amazed at how many readers have visited, and how passionate you are about airlines and airports. It has been my pleasure to bring you the news.

I've enjoyed the back-and-forth with readers and the comments, and I don't want to give up this community. I'm hopeful we can take our discussion to social media.

If you do not already, please consider following me on Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram. And if you want to reach me directly, the 'contact me' link on the page still delivers notes to my email account.

Thank you for being loyal readers.
