Want a deal on Allegiant Air? You have two days.
America's most unique discount airline announced 19 new routes on Tuesday, and all of them are only sale for $39 each way - but only for 48 hours beginning Jan. 12. The new routes all start between early April and early June.
Try not to get too excited. These are not the sexiest flights. Most of them are to and from small and midsize U.S. cities, and in most cases, no other airline flies the routes. You're probably a special person if you get jazzed by a new twice-weekly flight between Indianapolis and Savannah.
If you want to try to get a deal, keep in mind some caveats. First, availability is limited. Second, Allegiant is flying each new route only twice per week, so you'll have to fly on the airline's schedule, not your own. Third, Allegiant charges for everything, from carry-on bags to advanced seat assignments (legroom is limited) to sodas.
This will be the first time Allegiant will fly from three cities - Baltimore, El Paso, Texas and and Destin/Fort Walton, Beach Florida.
What do you think of these new routes and introductory prices? Will you try to get a deal?
