Delta Air Lines said Monday it will no longer ship lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo trophies as freight on its aircraft.
In the past, Delta would ship these animals, but only if they were in "...absolute compliance with all government regulations regarding protected species."
Delta's new policy is effective immediately. Delta might have slightly more exposure to this stuff because it is the only airline flying nonstop between the U.S. and South Africa.
Until last month, South African Airways had a similar policy, but it recently lifted it, according to Bloomberg News.
Do you think Delta made a good decision?
Update: Later on Monday, American and United followed Delta and changed their policies.
