VIDEO: How a KLM 777 from Amsterdam to New York crosses the Atlantic Ocrean

How does a KLM Boeing 777 cross the Atlantic Ocean?

As many of you know, pilots must follow "highways in the sky." On this flight, we follow a KLM crew as it takes a southern track across the Atlantic to avoid high head winds.

This is part of the same KLM video series I highlighted here last week, when I posted video of a short flight between Amsterdam and London Heathrow. That video explained how autopilot works.

For more information on KLM's "Inside the Cockpit" series, including a third video, check out KLM's website.
