Southwest Airlines turned a 737 into a flying fashion show recently.
Airlines love a good marketing tie-in, and this was part of a partnership with something called the The Magnificent Mile Association. It's not exactly clear to me what this association does, but for our purposes, it matters little.
We're just amused that six fashion models had to walk down the runway on Flight 904 from New York LaGuardia to Chicago Midway. I'm sure those business travelers loved it. On the bright side, all the passengers received $100 gift certificates to Chicago stores.
"We always want to provide a unique experience to our Customers whether at the airport, in the air, or at home," Teresa Laraba, Southwest's senior vice president for customers, said in a statement.
