Brian Sumers is Los Angeles-based reporter for Skift, where he covers the global airline industry.
Previously, Brian regularly wrote about airline and airport news for Conde Nast Traveler and Aviation Week. He has also written for the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Skift and L.A. Weekly.
Brian appears on television and radio to discuss airline industry trends. He has appeared on KCRW and KPCC, both public radio stations in Los Angeles, as well as on CBS News, KCAL and BBC World television.
Brian is a magna cum laude graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, and he has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School. Earlier in his career, he reported for the Tampa Bay Times, St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Los Angeles News Group, parent of the Los Angeles Daily News, Daily Breeze and Press-Telegram.
